SCIENCE

1. The unit that we are working on currently in Science is: “Earth Structure”

2. Homework in Science is due on Tuesday,  1-10-12 Students must spend 30 minutes at the topomap.usgs.gov  website or do the alternative assignment.

3. In class today, we designed a clay relief map, then used a pencil to draw a topo map and a profile map.

ENVIRONMENTAL ADVENTURES

1.  The unit that we are working on currently in E.A. is: “Preparation for the 24 Hour Wilderness Experience"

2. HOMEWORK in Environmental Adventures: gather the items needed for the E.A. 24 Hour Trip coming up on January 11, 2012

3. Today in class we focused on a HOMEWORK assignment that is due on Monday 1-9-11. Students are to go on a long walk in the snow. The walk will include some challenges that students "invent" one example is changing socks.

4.  Reminder: The next Green Project due date is Thursday, January 19, 2011.
