SCIENCE

1. The unit that we are working on currently in Science is: “Earth Structure”

2. Homework in Science: Look for examples of the Earth system in scenes as you drive or walk. Look for the Hydrosphere, Atmosphere, Biosphere and Geosphere.

3. In class today we observed  a PowerPoint presentation on the Hydrosphere, Atmosphere, Biosphere and Geosphere. Next, we used magnesium in the Science Lab. Magnesium rocks!

ENVIRONMENTAL ADVENTURES

1.  The unit that we are working on currently in E.A. is: “Preparation for the 24 Hour Wilderness Experience"

2. HOMEWORK in Environmental Adventures: 

*Nature Interpretation Homework Activity is due Thursday, 12-15-11. Spend at least one hour outdoors looking for tracks, scat and signs of wildlife. Get a parent signature verifying the time and effort that you put into the project.

3. Today in class we:

 *Collected the assignment: Blue Sheet signed by a parent.

*Learned the TENT COMMANDMENTS of Tent Care.

*Set up tents in the old gym.
