SCIENCE

1. The unit that we are working on currently in Science is: “Water Quality”

2. Homework in Science: No Homework tonight.

3. In class today, we went to the Science lab to do an activity with sand and gravel. Students understand and can explain the difference between porosity and permeability.

ENVIRONMENTAL ADVENTURES

1.  The unit that we are working on currently in E.A. is: “Land Navigation”

2. HOMEWORK in Environmental Adventures: Bring a toy for the Geocache on Thursday.

3. Today in class we learned more aspects of using a handheld G.P.S. unit, specifically reading detailed maps.

4.  Reminder: The Green Project due date is Wednesday November 2, 2011. There are several excellent presentations in October. Students have a bright orange sheet with several ideas and locations listed.
