SCIENCE

1. The unit that we are working on currently in Science is: Weather/Climate/Ocean Currents

2.  HOMEWORK in Science: Two reading assignments:  "Climate Zones" and "Global Warming"

3.  In class today, we worked in the Science Lab to make a golf ball float. The activity shows that salt concentration in the oceans is partly responsible for ocean currents which controls climate. Most notable is the mild climate of western Europe which is modified by the Gulf Stream.

ENVIRONMENTAL ADVENTURES

1.  The unit that we are working on currently in E.A. is: Rock Climbing

2. HOMEWORK in Environmental Adventures: Green Project! Only two opportunities remain: Friday-Wolf Forum at Ramada Inn. Sunday- 5pm -7pm at Presque Isle Park: Gourmet Food for Camping and Backpacking

3. In class today, we caught up from yesterday's Science Class that we missed due to the Rock Climbing Trip.

4.  Reminder: The Green Project due date is Tuesday June 7, 2011. Plan to attend a presentation and follow through!
